"High Heat Coatings & Wraps
Please do not coat the manifolds or wrap them. The stock heat shields can be used with the MS manifolds. They are ready to use and abuse. Coatings may flake off inside the manifold and destroy your precious turbine. Besides, coatings will trap heat in the manifold which can lead to premature failure and cracking. It gets hot enough as it is in that manifold."

I am no thermal engineer, I'm just posting what I've seen.
From what I've read about turbos you want as much heat possible before the turbos, and as little possible after. Which would make coating manifolds sound like a good idea. However if the manifolds get so hot they crack that's not a good thing. The warning could just be a CYA from SZ for all we know. Sounds like plenty of people recommend it.
